I did a Google search on ‘2009 NCAA football cheating,’ and after I scrolled through all the Pete Carroll entries, I found Lane Kiffin.
The shock from Lane Kiffin's stunning departure from Tennessee to succeed Pete Carroll at USC is reverberating throughout the college football world
You want to reward and protect your top four teams ... It makes a lot of sense to give your top four teams a bye, just like the Big 12 does. It's at least worth a conversation.
You could do it that way ... I think when you have something unusual that happens it probably brings it to the table for discussion a little more than when it's balanced a little bit more. There's certainly interest in winning a division championship and competing for seeds within that division.
If you don't have divisions, then you ask yourself, 'Why do I have to play teams twice that are historically stronger than other teams?'
We don't give a damn for the whole state of Michigan.
Angie has invested as much in her academics as she has on basketball
Academics are very important to me, and coach Summitt always stresses their importance ... We are all student-athletes, with the student portion of our responsibilities coming first.
It's disappointing not to play well in such a big game ... Give them credit for playing Syracuse basketball, and for stopping us from playing Villanova basketball.
It doesn't matter who is number one now ... All that matters is who is on top at the end the season. But if we keep playing like we did tonight, we have as good a chance as anybody to be there.
The defense really picked up the last 10 minutes of the first half and the first 10 minutes of the second half ... And when we stopped turning the ball over (just one the second half), it stopped their easy buckets and made them work a lot harder to score.
With about three minutes left, I just looked up at the crowd and got chills ... We just fed off their energy all night.
It's one of the few times all year we've played an entire 40 minutes ... And if you can do that against a great team like Villanova, you can do it against anybody.
We didn't want to disappoint the crowd
Once we got into a rhythm, there was no stopping us.
I had never met any of the coaches before, but I had read about those two ... Being from the same high school, I knew about Coach Smith and Coach Dooley. Their pictures are up on the wall and they’re like legends at Clarke Central. So I was pretty excited to meet them.
Georgia Tech was the first school to offer me ... I talk to Coach [Todd] Spencer a lot. He’s a pretty cool guy and a good o-line coach. They’re definitely in the mix. Being my first offer means something to me. They were the first guys to come up and say ‘we want you to play football for us; we think yo...
As far as I know they haven’t really attempted to make contact with me or anything
I don’t know if they’re interested or what. I don’t really know what to make of Georgia right now.
and I think they’ve only lost like one.
Coming back to Athens and beating Georgia would be pretty exciting
It’d nice to say, ‘hey, you missed out on me.’
I don’t know, I might go to Georgia if something happens. I might go check their spring practice
I didn't expect this at all (when I signed). I was just excited to be going to college. Going to the Tournament for the fourth year in a row? It's amazing.
To win back-to-back championships in a conference like this is saying something, and to win 13 (games) in a row is saying something.

I personally think he is going to struggle at safety in the NFL ... He is much better suited to play cornerback. I think he is a bad tackler. I think he is very inconsistent coming up in run support.
